So, last weekend @greenbeltfestival I had the privilege to follow round @wearepussyriot in residence there – both performing and in talks. I thought I’d start with this first shot that captures for me what I felt – I was caught by their strength, determination, courage, intelligence, bravery, raw spirit, honesty and humanness. I was inspired by their openness in talks and how they quietly, but strongly and effectively, expressed themselves. I’m nowhere near processing it all. Or how to use the feelings/information taken on board. But well done Greenbelt for taking this step and inviting them and thank you Pussy Riot for choosing to come along. More shots to follow🙂
Sasha Klokova (of Pussy Riot and The Jack Wood) with Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires. Just the most sublime moment at the most magnetising, spell binding gig I think I’ve ever been to; a secret gig, late in the evening, in a small venue at Greenbelt 2018. Just magic.
